Video and the podcast stars

Something that's a bit of a revelation to us in the last year or so is our subscription to YouTube; that is, we pay for YouTube Premium, and watch it on our 65" TV.  More often than not, the resolution is 4K or close.  No ads, unless the video you're watching puts them in, and you can just FF ahead.  It's effectively stifled our interest in cable TV - especially news, as network news just doesn't have their shit together at all, and haven't for a long time with it just getting worse.

Anyway, I see a lot of stuff that I really like, and I thought I'd share it with you here.

From the Epicurious folks, here's an absolutely marvelous pancake recipe that made me want to eat way past the full point.  I think the guy here maybe overdoes it with some stuff, but just make this for a treat at least.  Is whipped butter even a thing?  I'll have to find it.  Or prepare it or whatever.  Anyway, this is AWESOME.

Something I've really come to be fascinated with and absolutely love is Gnosticism and the esoteric.  It's changed my life looking into that stuff.  Janice, too.  There's so much peace with discarding all the fear that we've been taught by our religion all our lives, and finding out that maybe the God you believe in, or should believe in, is all light and love.  A video like this will give you an indication of what it's all about.  I'm learning new things everyday and finding real happiness in my soul with this.  I don't feel guilty for being me anymore.  And I know, not believe but know, that if I ask God for something, I know God hears me and works beyond time.  I believe Jesus was sent to teach us how to bring that out in ourselves now.  He was called 'rabbi' after all - "teacher".  I really think folks would fall in love with the bible all over again through this very different lens, just because I think it makes way more sense.  Stop being afraid!

Next up along the same lines, here's a video about gnosticism and how Sophia and Mary Magdalene actually figure into biblical times.  This is a real eye opener to me.  I've always felt women were oppressed, but watching this makes me realize just how much Rome screwed up the world with its obvious patriarchal ambitions to preserve exclusive male dominance.  Was Jesus Mary's husband?  I don't know.  There's a non-zero chance.  But that number for me is closer to 100 than zero.  This would make women feel good about themselves, which clearly, has been thwarted by organized religion in general.  They've been subjugated into being subservient systematically through the ages, but I feel like an awakening is happening.  And I am so here for it.  A theory is that Chris Bledsoe's Divine Lady apparitions is actually Sophia, which would be the embodiment of all feminine energy.  The world is out of balance, and I feel Sophia can help restore that peacefully.

And one more on that side of the fence -- this is one that I've saved and re-watched, and will have to still, a lot.  It's very reassuring to think that you can gain this ability to handle situations in the best way possible; i.e. if you fight fire with fire, you'll only get a bigger fire.  A couple of weeks ago I lost my cool in a situational setting due to my lack of self discipline.  There's a lot of comfort in knowing that there is an alternative to dealing with things that way, and as a guy that's battling mental illness for a living, that's encouraging.  And a work in progress for me.  Everyone would benefit from this:

Here's one that'll get anyone at least a little bit angry.  These days, I believe that we're being lied to constantly about everything, from politics to religion to UFOs to all things "mystical".  To me, mysticism is just science we don't know yet, and religion teaches us to fear what we don't understand.  When you do that, you relinquish control to that which you don't grasp.  But, there really is an enlightenment and awakening going on right now, right under our noses.  The Trump mafia family; the Epstein files; Disclosure.... I don't remember a time when so much information has come out all at once.  Life changing, history changing information.  This is a clip of Greg Carlwood from the Danny Jones podcast, blowing the dust off nearly 100 year old facts that are why we are still living in the dark ages of energy and tech in general.  We've been forced to be stagnant by Big Oil all the way back to pre-WWII.  But once again.... all is being revealed, right?

Time to be a fungi now.... Magic Mushrooms!  I finally got to try them a couple of weeks ago via Golden Teacher tea.  Golden Teacher being the type of mushroom, I guess it's the most popular and gentle one.  With all the great things I've heard abou mushrooms, the one thing that staved me off was the barfing.  I.  Can't.  Handle.  Barfing.  So I needed a way around that, and I found a way to make tea with them, with a little fresh ginger and a splash of lemon with honey.  It's really quite good!  And the 'high' it brings is more of a deep sense of calm, empathy and focus.  Like with pot, everything seems brighter, but maybe more meaningful because it enhances focus, where gummies will make you happy, but very chill.  So will this, but... I think you'd have to see for yourself.  Janice had it with me recently and she loved the feeling.  There's no come-down on it, like with cannabis.  Funny how that is, isn't it?  No withdrawal symptoms from plant medicine.  But anyway, this following video explains the fantastic effects of psilocybin on the human brain, and how it has the potential to heal even Alzheimer's and other cognitive issues.  And yeah, man, it makes you happy!  The long term effects go beyond the high and give you a real sense of peace long after you've had it.  Like, for days.  At least.  I've no interest in illicit drugs, and cannabis and mushrooms are not those.

From mushrooms to Skinny Bob, here's a story I want you to see about a famous recording from fifty some years ago or more of an 'alien' crash site with UFO wreckage, and not just one surviving alien but several, as well as casualties.  This is one of the most heavily scrutinized videos in the genre, because it can't fully be disproven; and in fact looks more relevant with time.  As technology evolved, we were able to clean up old video like this reel to reel stuff and get a better look with some help from A.I. , but in case you think it's just A.I. , you get to see the original and enhanced copies.  This is the most real looking footage there is of non human intelligence.  If you've seen Spielberg's new movie "Disclosure Day", I'm sure you'll find he got a lot of info and inspiration from this very footage.  The Skinny Bob footage is here along with the "Family Vacation" clip.  Not explaining anymore, you have to see for yourself:

I guess that's all I'll stick on here for now.  Let me know what you think, if you'd like.  I'm always listening and watching.

Enjoy the rest of summer, my friends.
